Ministry of Youth and UN Mission partner to train future Dominican diplomats

New York.- The Ministry of Youth and the Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic to the United Nations (UN) have signed a cooperation agreement to implement the “Junior Diplomat” program. This initiative will offer Dominican youth, aged 15 to 18, a specialized internship in diplomacy, international cooperation, and leadership, equipping them with essential skills for their future.
The agreement was formalized in New York by Youth Minister Carlos Valdez and Ambassador José Blanco Conde. The program will provide participants with hands-on experience in diplomatic affairs, fostering their ability to represent the country on global platforms. The Ministry of Youth will fund travel and accommodation, while the Permanent Mission will oversee academic content and official activities.
This partnership represents a significant step in promoting youth engagement in international affairs, ensuring access to valuable learning opportunities on a global scale.
